General Terms & Conditions

Your reservation constitutes a contractual agreement by which you accept all terms and conditions mentioned hereafter. Before making a reservation, travelers must read carefully and understand all terms and conditions available in our brochure and on our website.

TRAVEL AGENT ROLE

Your travel agent should provide you with clear and concise information regarding all programs offered by Jolivac. He/she acts as an intermediary between you and Jolivac and all communication pertaining to any aspect of your trip should be with your travel agent

RESERVATIONS/ DEPOSIT/FINAL PAYMENT

  • A deposit of $1000 per person is required at time of reservation.
  • Final payment is due 60 days before departure/ 90 days before departure for all tours.
  • Exceptions: Some hotels require to be paid in full at the time of reservation (non refundable)

CREDIT CARD PAYMENT

Passengers wishing to pay with a credit card are required to send by fax a signed copy of the credit card to Jolivac. Passengers must also agree and authorize Jolivac to provide the Airline Company with credit card information in order to guarantee reservation.

CANCELLATIONS Flight, tour (trip & taxes) or land arrangements.

In the event Jolivac cancels a tour prior to departure, a full refund of all prepaid travel arrangements will be provided to passenger

Cancellation by passenger

Should you cancel your trip prior to departure the following cancellation fees apply

  • 90 days before departure: refund of deposit or 100% of guaranteed tours.
  • 89-60 days before departure: 50% of total amount
  • 59-31 days before departure: 75% of total amount
  • 30 days and less: 100% of total amount
  • Charter flights: 100% of total amount
  • Exception: Some hotels paid in total at the time of reservation are 100% non refundable

Note: different cancellation fees may apply to special events (Easter, Christmass, Grand Prix etc.). For further details, please consult your travel agent

ALL cancellations must be sent in writing to Jolivac

NO refunds will be made for cancelled or unused services, once travel has commenced.

When calculating applicable penalty, please note that departure date is not taken in consideration.

Tickets issued: In the event that you should decide for early issuance of air-tickets in order to avoid possible additional charges and/or increases in airport & security taxes, please note that higher cancellation fee may apply.

Force Majeure /Act of God: geopolitical events such as war or warlike operations, terrorist activities or threat thereof, civil unrest (in the region or in the country visited) are subject to all applicable cancellation fees. Travelers cannot invoke any of the above to justify cancellations or request refunds after reservation is made and confirmed. We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance as offered by your travel agent

CHANGES

Any change to a confirmed reservation is considered a cancellation with subsequent applicable fees as clearly stipulated in our brochure and on our website. For hotels/ apart-hotels stays, clients may change room category once at destination by paying applicable price difference in directly with hotel keeper.

DESCRIPTIONS IN BROCHURE AND ON WEBSITE

Jolivac endeavors to ensure that all information in the brochure and on the website is as accurate as possible at time of printing and/or creation on our website. Information is subject to change beyond the control of the tour operator. It should also be mentioned that most services mentioned in hotel/apart-hotel descriptions are for information only and not always included in published rates.

SUPPLIERS TERMS & CONDITIONS

Tickets and vouchers are personal, non transferable, non negotiable and valid only on specified dates. Jolivac cannot be held responsible for airlines, cruise lines and land services schedules nor aircraft type, ship or vehicles used by suppliers. Passengers have to present themselves at the airport-check-in counter at least 3 hours prior to departure.

LODGING: Rooms & Cabins

It is the sole responsibility of hoteliers or cruise line operators to entitle, distribute rooms/ cabins to passengers according to category requested. Pictures and cabin plans are for information only. Jolivac has no control over size and location of rooms/cabins assigned. Heating & air conditioning may only function during specific periods.

TOURS

Hotel selection on our tours may vary without compromising overall quality and standards. While we provide best effort to respect and follow tour itineraries, unforeseen events can affect and modify schedules and timing of visits beyond our control

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Travelers must have a Canadian Passport that is valid for at least 6 months past the return date of their trip. When making a reservation, ensure that the name provided is properly spelled AND is the same as in your passport. Non-Canadian citizens should enquire with their respective consulate/embassy about requirements, rights and obligations for each country visited. It is each traveler’s responsibility to obtain before departure all necessary travel documents required by government authorities and to conform to all laws.

PASSENGER Responsibilities

Passengers should inform their travel agent of intentions, goals, reasons and expectations relative to the planned trip before making the reservation. Passengers should be in reasonable good health to undertake their trip. Before leaving, passengers should enquire with competent health officials about preventive medical measures applicable to the country or countries visited. It is imperative that all passengers with known medical conditions carry sufficient amount of required medicine.

AT DESTINATION

Service standards and overall “quality of life” provided may differ from what travelers are accustomed to. In ancient cities or those with historical quarters, infrastructures will be totally different from North-America. It is remotely possible to encounter some interruptions in water and/or electricity supplies during your trip. Certain construction or renovation projects may take place during your stay. Public or school holidays, congress or exhibitions may take place during your stay, which may cause some inconvenience for which Jolivac cannot be held responsible.

NOTICE TO CLIENTS

Certain events/incidents which may occur during your trip are considered part of normal inconvenience such as: delay of flight or cruise, ways & customs different than ours, official holidays resulting in the closing of certain public places etc. Clients should be mindful and prepared to accept consequences. Jolivac cannot be held responsible for any damages

COMMENTS AND CLAIMS

It is the client’s responsibility to advise Jolivac immediately should problems arise. Clients should communicate with the Jolivac representative or the service provider representative immediately so an acceptable solution be found. In such event, passengers must provide - in writing to his travel agent- the nature of the problem within 14 days upon returning from the trip. Claims will only be accepted, if Jolivac was made aware of the problem the very moment it occurred, and was unable to intervene and remedy the situation. Jolivac requires 6-8 weeks to properly review and assess files. In any and all circumstances, Jolivac’s responsibility is limited to the tour cost paid by the client

LAWS

The present agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and any action which may be initiated against Jolivac must be taken before the courts in the Province of Quebec.

Rendering void of one or another clause in this agreement does not cancel or invalidate the actual agreement entitled «General Conditions”
